The anticipation of the upcoming Annual Awards banquet for the Camrose High School football team came to end end last night.................Daylan has been stewing(well let's say thinking about LOTS)about whether or not he would get an award this year.....................well here you have it!!!!!


He has WORKED VERY HARD this year, he LOVES this game.............and the best part for me.........he finished the season without serious injury!

It was pretty sweet(as he would say)hearing his name called during the awards presentions!! GREAT to hear all the positive things his coach had to say about him.......................hard working, listens well, has the smarts to play several postions & plays them well, team player/leader on and OFF THE FIELD(this is the one Mom liked)!!!!

Anyway it was a great night...........Daylan also got to meet a Calgary Stampeder's player that just happened to be wearing one of his 3 FOOTBALL RINGS! Daylan just so happened to bring a football to the banquet and he was lucky enough to get IT SIGNED............couldn't wipe the smile off his face!!!!!

NOW THAT I'VE PUT MY LITTLE FOOT IN MY BIG MOUTH.........

what next????.................oh the pressure!!!!!

I have come to realize DAMM FAST it's not easy for me to be NASTY!

But to prove a point my NASTY post created more action than my regular posts!!!!

Not sure how NASTY I can be.........but I will tell you I am going to KICK THINGS UP A NOTCH on my blog!!! As I visit several blogs daily I am coming to realize my is BORING to most.............thanks to those that do visit and leave comments........ I love that!!!!!

My name is Trisha Ladouceur and I am co-ordinating the Edmonton chapter of Canada's Crop for Kids in Edmonton, AB, in support of the Stollery Children's Hospital. I have been married to my wonderful husband, Andrew, for 14 years this December and we have 2 wonderful boys, Logan (7) and Carter (6). I have chosen to participate in this event for 2 main reasons. Firstly, I know firsthand what an amazing facility the Stollery Children's Hospital is because Carter has been hospitalized 3 times for respiratory problems. He has RAD (Reactive Airway Disease). Basically, whenever he gets a simple little cold, it can quickly move into his lungs producing asthma-like symptoms making his breathing very difficult. His oxygen has dropped to critical levels but the fast response of the knowledgable staff has gotten him back on track, for which we will be eternally grateful. The top notch care that he has received and the support that we received as parents from their wonderful staff has been second to none. I feel so very fortunate to live in a city where such an awesome facility exists. My second reason for wanting to do this is a bit more personal. Last year I had cancer, and I spent time in the hospital and got to know some parents who had children in the Stollery whose prognosis was not so good. I knew that my cancer was not life threatening but it was serious nonetheless. Well... I was the recipient of my own little miracle. My cancer just literally disappeared! No explanation. I made a promise to pay it forward. I would have gladly endured whatever necessary if it meant that those 2 little boys didn't have to suffer. So this is my way of giving back... I am looking forward to working with all of these wonderful women from across our country to produce the largest scrapbooking event Canada has ever seen!

Why do women(and men)call woman guys?

**EDITED** Please note this is NOT directed at ANYONE.......simply an observation!!!!

This has become a pet peeve of mine over the last couple of years...................I guess it's the hip/cool thing to say......but it just erks me!!! If we don't want to be called women/ladies why don't we say gals, but please NOT guys!!!!!

A couple of years back Betty & Randy, my Mom & myself were out for supper and the waitress comes over and says something like........"sir would you like some water"? She moves on to us ladies/woman/girls(whatever we are)and says, "and would you guys like some"?? WHAT!!!!!! Do we look like guys, I hope not? The funny part was Randy proceeds to ask the waitress if we looked like guys? He wasn't rude, just asked her..............but I think she was kind of caught off gaurd!!! Ever since then(thanks Randy for bringing it to my attention)I notice it ALL THE TIME!!!!! Guess it's kind of like the HEY thing.................does anyone say HELLO/HI anymore????

TRICK OR TREAT!!

My brother made the blog......not sure, but I think this is the 1st time(sorry Daryl)!!!

Even though my brother hasn't appeared on my blog, he is VERY OFTEN the reason behind the acitivties whenever I post farm stuff!!!! I guess you could say...........he is the behind the scenes guy, making all the fun for everyone to enjoy!!!!

Onto the story at hand O-U-C-H!!!!

So my brother is on the bench helping coach on his son's(Adam(almost 17) & Evan(15))hockey team.

A couple of players come flying into the boards right at their bench, a couple of sticks are flying, and before Daryl could even blink he's gets connected with the end of someones stick(1st period)!! O-U-C-H!!!!

He toughs it out for the rest of the game & for the hour & 1/2 trip home.............then decides maybe I do need stitches. Off to Bonnyville they go..........and here we have it............5 stitches!!!!

EVERY YEAR I SAY...................

this year I am going to a CORN MAZE!!!!!

Well this year is no different, except this year I finally made it.....well kind of! After our Thanksgiving weekend out at the farm we thought we would stop at the CORN MAZE on the way home...............well much to our dismay it was CLOSED!!!!! We did take a very little stroll into the maze.............WOW I never realized these things are so INVOLVED, I could seriouly get lost in there after about 3-4 turns this way n' that way!!!!!!







Daylan found his way out........I think.............. it was a little tougher than he thought it was going to be!!!!

Daylan said he could leap frog over his dad's shoulders.........I basically laughed it off thinking NO WAY!!!!! I was wrong again!!!!



I don't think he made it this time.............go back and start over!!!!!
