ON OUR WAY TO CHICHEN ITZA
The following photos were taken through the window of the bus on our way to Chichén Itzá!

The side of Mexico you hear about, but until you see it with your own eyes.......it's hard to believe. The amazing part to me was even with their living conditions most everyone we seen was clean & well dressed.......I would think the opposite!!! And on many of the little shacks/huts there were satellite dishes, and most had cells phones......another strange thing to me! I would have thought if they never had a basic household furniture they wouldn't have satellite & cell phones!

Another thing that was everywhere are these cinder blocks(concrete), stacks all over the place. In towns, in the country, by houses, even on the sides of the road......???

to my understanding(from Danica)this is the plant used to my TEQUILLA!!!

The litter in Mexico is unreal......it's everywhere(except on the resorts)!

These dogs are everywhere........I never did figure out if they have an actual home, or they just wander from here to there?

OUR SHOPPING TRIP to Playa del Carmen!

This was so funny.....I asked these two waiters if I could take a picture with them..........so they put there arms around me ready for the picture. My aunt was taking the picture and it would take so she was saying, "it won't work", and the Mexicans were saying, "take your time senorita, take your time"...........and I was thinking "HURRY UP, HURRY UP"!! Oh well it was worth the chuckle!

CHITZEN ITZA-on of the 7 wonders of the world!

91 steps to the top!!! There is a story to these steps, they were built very narrow and people had to walk up criss cross/side to side. They are to narrow for the length of a foot to climb like you do on normal steps.

On one of our stops along the way, they took a picture of us. Then on the way back they try and sell you this bottle of Tequilla with your picture on it........we didn't purchase, but took a picture of it!

I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS IS REAL!!!!

DOES IT GET ANY BETTER THAN THIS?

For those who know me, you know I LOVE weddings, and I LOVE taking pictures.......yes taking pictures at a wedding would be considered a a double dose of GREAT for me!!!! Topping that is pretty tough.......but today it happened.........I got a DREAM CALL!!!!

My cousin(Marilyn)called today and asked if I could take pictures at her daughters wedding in the DOMINICAN REPUBLIC**...........so she asks me to think about it.......okay let ME think here..........how much time do I need to think about this one...................lets say............NONE!!!!

Pretty good you say...........well there's a PART 2!!! The date is Nov. 6th-13th, and our 30th anniversary is Nov. 12.......and because we were wanting to do something for our 30th............this has immediately become our anniversary holiday!!!! I would say in the BIG PICTURE..........this is PERFECT!!!!


**Marilyn said they would pay my way if I would take pictures........WOW!!! This to me seemed a little much.............so that part is up for discussion........especially now that we are making a holiday out of it for ourselves........we will work out the fine details($$), but one way or another I will be taking pictures for a wedding IN THE DOMINICAN!!!!

Well that's me...........eating my own words, kind of embarrassing!!!

I have told MANY people I have NO desire to go to Mexico...............not once, but several times! Well, GUESS WHERE I'M GOING???? Yep...........you're a pretty good guesser!!!!! You might think a winter holiday.....nope.....right smack dab in the middle of summer.............departure date Aug. 11th!!!!

10 Finkers

Ole vas vorking at the fish plant up nort in Dulut vhen he accidentally cut off all ten of his finkers.

He vent to da emergency room in the Clinik and vhen he got dar da Norsky doctor looked at Ole and said, "Let's have da finkers and I'll see vhat I can do."

Ole said, "I haven't got da finkers."

"Vhat do you mean, you hafen't got da finkers?" he said. "Lord-it's 2007 and Ive's got microsurgery and all kinds of incredible techniques. I could hafe put dem back on and made you like new! Vhy didn't you brink da finkers?"

Ole says....."How da **%%##$*@# vas I suppose to pick dem up?"

1st jumps.....she just couldn't wait!!!! Ashley wasn't to sure she like jumping....after her 2nd or 3rd attempt she realized she could hang onto the net...........then all was good!!! Never got a picture of the little monkey.............sorry Ashley(silly Grandma)..........next time!!!!


Net is up.......now she can really go to town!!!


Although Natasha told Grandma the tramp was only for little kids, I tried it out anyway! (thanks for grabbing the camera Danica, no I'm not being funny, I mean it(LOL))



In the process of assembling this tramp....there was an accident delay! The net was put on inside out, and all the white pieces(spring like section)had to be taken out. These pieces were very tight, and had alot of pressure on them!!! Daniel, Danica, & Adam were taking them off! One of the ones Adam was removing let go when Adam wasn't expecting it, and it hit him right in the mouth........because of the pressure when it snapped Adam never had a chance to move.....instant blood.....his first thought was both his front teeth were GONE!!! Teeth were there, but loose.......cut upper lip inside & out.....he didn't look pretty!!! After a few hours he was feeling up to a steak supper.........I was leaving just as he was being served.......hope he was able to EAT!!!
