Well here is my flowers today......and I think tonight they WILL BE DONE!!!
Things probably won't be so pretty in the morning! 
This is a pretty bad picture, but I always struggle with Coleus and this year they are really nice so I wanted to show them off a bit(even if they are blurry)!!!

For Betty & Peggy!
Finally I'm getting this layout posted.........I don't know what the heck was the matter? Kept getting errors?
Sorry for the bad picture, the colors are much nicer in real life!!!
Anyway the story behind the layout..........
Title: Forever Friends 40 plus years
The funny thing about this is we are both turning 50 early in 09, therefore at this time I couldn't put 50, so 40 it was.......LOL...probably should have put 49.8 or something, but 40 sounds better!
I did this layout for a Stampin' Up! monthly scrapbooking group. All of the photos in the layout were taken by someone else.....the ones on the left are from Betty(my Aunt), and the ones on the right are from Peggy(the friend in the picture). I love all of these pictures, but I get a real kick out of the one where Peggy is talking on the cell phone in the berry patch........I just wonder what Grandma would think about that........I can just see the funny look on her face!!!
Anyway.......thanks Betty & Peggy for the photos..........hope you like the layout!!!
p.s......I had planned to do a bunch of journaling about our 40 plus year friendship, but it hasn't happened yet, and now I'm kind out of room(maybe I'll do it on the back, or include it as hidden journaling)!

A small attempt at a late summer catch up.....
There are so many things I've been thinking I should post about, but of course now when I'm wanting to add them to the blog I am drawing a blank!!!
Two recent things are about Dana & Daniel!
Dana has decided to move to Black Diamond(taking a transfer).....hope she is making a wise decision, and that once she gets there and is settled...........she will really like it!!! Time will tell, and before we know it she will be calling it home!!! I wish her luck in selling her home in Sherwood Park........quick sale vibes coming your way Dana!!!
Daniel has won a trip to Boston......from ATB!!! He will go for 4 days in Oct......and he will be travelling with Brent...............BRENT you say, why BRENT??? Well it's kind of funny how this all came about! As this trip has been announced basically one month before the departure date it's kind of crazy, with little time to plan!!! I have been registered in a scrapbooking event in Saskatoon for the past several months. I am attending as a vendor(with Stampin' Up!)with 2 other ladies. We have paid our registration, and it's pretty much out of the question for me to bale on them now......especially when I wanted them to come with me in the first place! Then we thought because there was an NFL game in Boston that weekend maybe Daylan should go............but there is a 21 years of age stipluation on the trip(legal age).....so that leaves him out! I mentioned maybe Dana could go, but with her move it wasn't an option.........and Danica's schedule is already full, girls, school, dogs, chickens, etc., etc.............so in the end it's Daniel & Brent...........that makes me laugh!!! They will get to go to a Boston Bruins hockey game!!! As it turns out, even if I wasn't busy that weekend I'm not sure I would have went.....kind of a crazy schedule! 4 day trip.........1 almost full day travelling to Boston, 2 days in Boston(business & pleasure), and 1 almost full day travelling home......thanks but I'll pass!!!
Speaking of Boston............Dana got a new puppy(in the summer)..........a little Boston Terrier named Osten(spelling?)......he's a cutie!!!
oh, and speaking of Boston(again).......Daniel gets to golf with Bobby Orr(http://www.bobbyorr.com/biography.aspx) on Thursday.......he's pretty exctied(Daniel that is)!!!
what else..............I'll have to sleep on it!!!
This weekend I am attending a stagette for my neice! Feeling old.........looking forward to the shower, but not sure how I will survive the stagette!!???

Today I learned.......
Natahsa birthday celebrations are not open to her extended family, and that would include me her Grandma!
Her Mom & Dad(& Ashley)are celebrating her birthday on the weekend(when her Dad gets home).............but no one will be invited, or welcome!!!
As you can well imagine Grandma is not happy about this, nor do I get it!!! I have spent the last few hours trying to figure out why a decision like this would be made......but have not come up with anything??? Why would a 5 year old not be allowed to have her grandparents celebrate her birthday with her?........I will go out on a limb and bet this is not her choice!
When my children were children...........I can't imagine ever telling my parents or in-laws that they were not welcome to attend the birthday celebrations of their grandchild!
I have learned.......today I am VERY SAD!

Baba's BIG DAY.......happy 90th!
I was determined to see Baba on the day of her birthday, and I'm so glad I made the effort!! We had a GREAT visit......just the two of us!!!
I didn't arrive until 7:00, and stayed till just after 9:00!

Because of bad lighting this picture was REALLY green so I switched to B & W!
Did you know........not much gray for 90.....less than I do that's for sure!!!
We went and watched the ball game.....she really liked that!
Back to her room we go..........she walked all the way without stopping, and it's quite a distance!!!!
Way to go Baba, you amaze me!!!

He's OFF to his 1st UNIVERSITY class!
Although Daylan has already had two days of orientation......today he has his 1st OFFICIAL class............CHEM 110!

The 5:00 a.m. wake up call is catching up with me.....time for a 10 minute snooze!
There was trouble at the branch this morning, and Daniel had to head out at 5.........not sure of all the details yet, but the branch has been closed all day! I think it was a water break, or power.........????
zzzzzzzzzzzzz..........I'm going for a rest before the University student gets home from orientation!!!

I wondered how she would make it up the steps of the bus with her HEAVY backpack, but SHE DID IT!!! Once she found a seat she gave a quick glance back, another wave, and they were gone!!! She is the first one on(7:45 p.m.), and the first one off(just before 4;00 p.m.)!
