Boy: A man walks into a drug store with his 8-year old son. They happen to walk by the condom display, and the boy asks, "What are these, Dad? To which the man matter-of-factly replies, "Those are called condoms, son.

Men use them to have safe sex." "Oh I see," replied the boy pensively. Yes, I've heard of that in health class at school."

He looks over the display and picks up a package of 3 and asks, "Why are there 3 in this package?" The dad replies, "Those are for high school boys, ONE for Friday, ONE for Saturday, and ONE for Sunday." "Cool" says the boy.

He notices a 6 pack and asks, "Then who are these for?" "Those are for college men," the dad answers, TWO for Friday, TWO for Saturday, and TWO for Sunday."

"WOW!" exclaimed the boy, "then who uses THESE?" he asks, picking up a 12 pack!
With a sigh and a tear in his eye, the dad replied, "Those are for the married men. ONE for January, ONE for February, ONE for March etc..........!!!!

Well today.......was....lets say PERFECT!!!! I got to see, and spend time with 2 babies......for me, there is nothing better!!!! Both babies slept the whole time I was visiting, that's okay........a content sleeping baby is SO peaceful, who could ask for more!!!!


These two little sweethearts are 1st cousins..........Aubrey & Quincy! I have visited little Aubrey a few times now, everytime I see her she as a little more chub on her cheeks.....cute, cute!!!!





and here we have Quincy, one week old yesterday!!! Today was my 1st visit.......I was very excited to meet him.........I met him, but he hasn't met me yet...LOL!!!

1. The 1st one that pops into my head is my kitchen sink area.........it's ALWAYS(90% of the time)a MESS(yep it is right now)!!!

2. I HATE worms, and I don't use the word HATE lightly. Warning: I cannot be held responsible for my actions if ANYONE comes near me with ANY form of wiggly(big/small or anything in between)!!!!

3. I have very badly cracked heals......it appears to be a family trait. My are really bad due to neglect...........got to get that cream out more often!!!

4. The one thing I wish I was.........a better reader!!!! Would love to be an avid reader.........I guess it's just not in me........I am thankful 2 of our 3 children LOVE TO READ, sorry Dana looks like you took after me in the reading department(although you are much better than I)!!!!

6. I always seem to notice the small stuff......credit given to Grandma K......she was famous for this.......she also didn't sweat the small stuff, but somehow I missed out on that one!!!

7. Last but not least.......I sure would like to know if I am ever going to win the lottery.....DUH....you have to buy a ticket to win!!!! I have probably bought a total of 10(if that)lotto tickets(649's) in my whole life!!! Oddly enough I am always planning how I would spend the money!!!

We often see these deer behind our house(in the bush), they rarely venture into the yard.......well today was a different story. I spotted two of them maybe 6 feet from the deck........I'd say they are getting pretty brave!

Tell me honestly........would a woman put this back in the freezer?

Not this woman! Besides me there are two men in the house.........which one is guilty?? dh or ds.......dare I guess?? I mean really.........it amounts to about one tablespoon.......I'm sure it would have fit in YOUR dish.........if not, chuck it!!!! Ya, I'll get over it...........I have 100's of times before!!!!

IT'S A BOY(no surprises there)!

I would like to welcome Quincy Marshall........born Saturday April 21st!

This little guy arrived 4 weeks early, and is doing VERY WELL!!! Weighing in at 6 lbs. 13 ozs. It has been estimated by the nurses that if he would have gone to full term he would have weighed close to 10 lbs....yikes!!!!

He was able to stay in Mommy's room the very first night, and will hopefully be able to go home tomorrow.....GREAT NEWS!!!

I haven't seen him yet, and as per usual when a new baby arrives.........I can't wait, maybe today!!!!

CONGRATULATIONS MOMMY & DADDY.........& of course GRANDMA & GIDO!!!!

Mother's Day is fast approaching.......

Some days you get up and wonder what is around the corner?

Today.....out of the blue.....someone whom I have never met offered to do me a favor.......makes me realize there are still people out there that do things JUST TO BE NICE, it's just that simple!!! More and more, maybe it's just me, or my age, but it seems we live in a IT'S ALL ABOUT ME society(drives me crazy)! Ya I am on a rant(sorry Jessi)............I have been feeling lately that many/most people refuse to do anything unless there is something in it for them...........Jessi stood above the crowd.........she made my day!!!!

she wrote in my comments section:
if you send me some colour combo's you like and a few specifics as to what you would like to see on your banner (title, subtitle, photo, quote, etc) I can definitely make you !!!

Jessi has offered to make me a banner for my blog.....as I am clueless as to how it's done!!! And you know what.......if it turns out she doesn't have time, or for some other reason she can't get it doesn't work out...............she still made may day, just by offering!!!

Pretty PROUD of myself........

well it's not much, but I am impressed none the less!!!! I stayed on green runs, went slow, only wiped out once(on my 1st run), and didn't get hurt...........ALL IS GOOD!!!!!

Okay for those that ski regularily you are probably rolling your eyes, but I haven't skied in 18+ years(maybe 20)so I was happy to be able to still stand up, and actually make it down ONE run!!!
On Sat. I think I did 7 or 8 runs, and on Sun.(which I didn't even plan to ski)I did 5-6...........yeehaw!!!!

I know it's dark......but that is me.....I promise!
Hint: you can see how slow the skier is going..........proof it's me!!!! LOL!!!!



My wipe-out was a good one, or so it felt! Ski's came off......landed face down......a FUNNY site I am sure!!!! As someone said........I went ASS OVER TEA KETTLE!!!! When I went to move I was surprised there was no major pain, thought for sure something was going to be hurting!!!! Daryl(my brother)was behind me and once he seen I was going to get up.........he got a GOOD chuckle out of it!!! My first thought was......oh no my glasses are broke........but I lucked out in that department too........my ole body & my sunglasses were both still in one piece!!!!

By noon on Sunday I could feel my legs getting really weak. I thought it best that I call it quits while I was still standing. Off I went to spend the last hour and a bit watching the spring skiers(see the post directly below this one). Talk about entertaining......maybe it's one of those had to be there moments, but did I ever find that FUNNY, especially the ones that didn't make it across/over!!!!!

look what I found in my house today........

Other sure signs............gophers having been out for a while, on Wednesday last week I seen my 1st ROBIN(or two)! Still need to go on my annual PUSSY WILLOW hunt..........must get on that!!!!!

WHAT'S UP THIS WEEK......I shall try to get this going AGAIN!!!

Well the weeks are coming and going faster than ever it seems..............my life is either filled with days of nothing, or I am running like crazy............is this NORMAL!!! I simply can't not believe it's the middle of APRIL!!!!

My yard is callin' me, IT'S ABOUT TIME.........I am going to get out there today, grab the rake and look for GREEN under the dead stuff!!!

I am sooooo in the mood to scrapbook lately.............another it's about time moment!!!! All of a sudden I've tons of new STUFF to scrap(like I didn't before).........lovin' that!!!!
