REMEMBER THIS AT CHRISTMAS TIME

1. According to the Alaska Department of Fish and Game, while both male and female reindeer grow antlers in the summer each year, male reindeer drop their antlers at the beginning of winter, usually late November to mid-December.
2. Female reindeer retain their antlers till after they give birth in the spring.
3. Therefore, according to EVERY historical rendition depicting Santa's reindeer, they all had antlers so...........EVERY single one of them, from Rudolph to Blitzen, had to be a girl.
4. We should've known... ONLY women would be able to drag a fat-ass man in a red velvet suit all around the world in one night and not get lost.

UPDATE 1: Talked to the Father-of-the-Bride! All is well, the Bride is holding up well, and everyone is having a GREAT time!!!

UPDATE 2: Just talked to the BRIDE..........she sounds GREAT!! She sounds relaxed, and she tells me she is not nervous at all..........RIGHT ON KIM!!! They love the resort, and are having a GREAT time!

UPDATE 3: I am hoping to get to talk to the Mother-of-the-Bride before the wedding...........she is out for a resort tour(I will call back)...........stay tuned!!

UPDATE 4: DONE: My Mexico phone calls for the day or DONE!!! Just talked to the Mother-of-the-Bride.........she is SUPER excited, and sounds VERY happy.......I'm so happy for you Georgette!!! Asked her to give Kim a BIG HUG for me, and she said she would.......passing this hug message almost made me cry!!! Now the wait......hoping someone hits Facebook tonight(or tomorrow).........maybe they will post some pictures!!!!

UPDATE 5: Well it's 1:59 p.m.(12:59 our time)in MEXICO........Kim should be arriving at her wedding in minutes..........hopefully fashionably late!!! And here I sit in Camrose pouting that I won't be watching her arrive! WOW!!!!

Down right MISERABLE day!!!

I knew this day was coming for a LONG time, I have rehearsed it in my mind over and over, and over again!!! Unfortunately, it played out exactly how I thought it would............NOT GOOD!!!!

I should really name this post down right miserable conversation, not miserable day! It's about a conversation that I knew was in the works......one I was dreading, but knew it had to take place sooner or later! Later didn't make it any better, probably worse.......more anger, more hurt feelings, from both sides!!!

As Auntie Bertha's family gathers by her side.........she says her goodbyes.

And I would just betcha, knowing her....she had a little smile on her face!!! I can just see/hear her....probably telling those around her it's going to be okay......with no fear.........she is ready........how perfect is that!!!

I don't know anyone(personally)that has given more than she......it seems so unfair to ask her to give more.......you just never know, she might have more to give!!!


She may rally, but if she doesn't it's all good.........she knows where she is going, and she will be happier there than here.........is that possible(of course)?

Her 89th birthday is in December.

Donna is thinking about....

those making their way to the St. Paul Catholic church. I know Monique will be surrounded by a ton of love & support.....she will need so much strength to get through this....none of us(or VERY few)know what she is going through!

I am also thinking about Austin's friends.......so many young people trying to come to terms with pure/raw tragedy, one of lifes hardest lessons! We've all heard it time, and time again.......life is not fair, and this is a perfect example of that!!!

I am of course........thinking of Austin. I do believe he is in a safe place, is in no pain, and is doing just fine.....watching over his Mom, I'm sure!!! Whenever I think of him, I will think of of his big smile while he bounced around the St. Paul swimming pool as a young boy, probably 8-10 years of age! A VERY friendly guy, always willing to help, he seemed beyond his years. I can remember setting up the consession for a swim meet, he of course wanted to be a consession worker........funny thing was he knew what to do, and he did it GOOD(remember he was around 10 years of age)! **addition**I can also remember thinking to myself as us adults do when we are in a hurry...."this would be much easier, and would get done quicker if I didn't have young helper with me"........but of course that wouldn't have been very nice to ask him to leave when he was so eager, so Mr. Austin stayed with me and helped.........I'm glad he did!!!

As I read the many message on the Facebook group in his memory it so nice to see that he has become a fine young man........and a true friend to so many. He will be sadly missed........and as I have previously mentioned..........especially by his Mom!

Thinking of Monique....

how will she survive the next day or two, and the many beyond difficult days ahead of her.........I cannot imagine!!!

Thinking about Gido(& Baba), and Amanda(& Chris)!

Wondering how Gido's move will go? We found out late this week that Gido will indeed be moving soon.........hopefully sooner than later! He says he's ready......hope he doesn't change his mind!

Spoke with Amanda a couple times about their good news!!! Looks like it won't be long and they'll be moving into their own home!!! WTG you two.........hope everthing falls into place...I'm sure it will!!!
